people are afraid the imports are contaminated because of the way all of china is turned into a red zone right now.

Obviously you can be exposed anywhere, but can you blame people here? It’s just statistics, the majority of people working in these restaurants are from China often recently, and if you were going to find a population most likely to contain people who may have recently visited there it would be common sense to think it could be people there. Of course your hairdresser or someone at another random place could have just gotten back from China too, but less likely. I personally would go to Chinatown but I will admit having similar thoughts. All of this goes away if it is more widespread in the us but for the moment it is not

Fear always affects everything, but so far the 2019 Novel Coronavirus has killed half as many people as the flu kills in the U.S. in the same amount of time (about a month). 1,500 have died in China. 3,000 die each month (on average) in the U.S. from the flu.
