RoboCop remake was the worst i ever saw. Also i read that Disney wants to make a remake of Home Alone. It's nothing sacred anymore? I hope some genius doesn't get the idea the do a Die Hard remake. That movie doesn't need one.

Even if Tim Burton's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory wasn't as good as the original 1971 Adaptation, at least it was more faithful to the book and gave Willy Wonka a backstory. Also, at least we got to see the Rotten 4 children leave the factory onscreen, unlike in the original film where Willy Wonka just says that the other children will be fine, but they don't actually leave the factory onscreen, making me wonder if they ever survived the factory . . .

I think the change to the Beauty & the Beast remake was a good one. It not only showed how far Gaston was beyond redemption, but also showed how Lefou had some good in him.

Watch mojo you are so outdated. By now a lot of people have made up their minds about the movies you say are bad Like Spider-Man 3, a lot of people now seem to like this movie. You just say it’s bad because critic stuff Godzilla 98, a lot of people seem to find it okay or love it and say it is a Beast from 20 000 Fathoms instead Move on to the future instead of living in the past.

Dunno if this qualifies as a "re-make", but the Tom Cruise Mission: Impossible turned Phelps into a villain.

The new ending of Planet of the Apes follows the book more than the original did. So when criticizing this film, this fact needs to be noted.

Rollerball! What can I say. The remake was totally pointless. The action scenes useless Even after 44 years the original still stands up and no one remembers the remake (probably why it never made this list).

The latest remake of Ben-Hur focuses more on the relationship between Judah and Messala, who were blood brothers before politics got in the way. In the original novel, it is Judah who deliberately fouls Messala's chariot after placing bets that will ruin him. Messala survives, but is left poor and permanently crippled. In a work subtitled A Tale of the Christ, you might expect that after his conversion Judah would embrace the principle of forgiving and helping his former friend. This actually happens in the remake. In the novel, he turns his back on him, leaving him. Nice for a story subtitled A Tale of the Christ.

One reason Total Recall didn't work is because there was no lesbo scene with Biel and Beckinsale.

Hollywood is just out of fresh ideas. They have to have at least 2 sex scenes, lots of cursing, and Socialism. Other than that, all they can do is [poorly] rehash what has already been done. Sad.

The movie "Planet of the apes" with Charlton Heston is an adaptation of the book. And the ending in the book is the same as the ending in the Tim Burton version, which is another adaptation, not a remake. So this shouldn't be on the list. But the Charlon Heston ending should be in "Top 10 smart changes in book adaptations"
