For those of us that grew up listening to Jimi Hendix and Led Zeppelin and more, we knew way back in the day there was something unique and special about Jeff Beck. However back in the day Jimmy Page had this amazing machine behind him and in addition to Jimmy Page's brilliant guitar work, as youngsters we were dazzled by the clothing and awesome mystique in addition to the listenability of their beautiful songs that Jeff Beck sort of took a back seat. In addition Clapton and Hendrix had amazing guitar work along with the listenability factor of beautiful cook songs and lyrics there really wasn't a place for Jeff Beck yet. However behind the scenes Jeff Beck never sold out. He took all the risks of re-creating his playing style and perfecting his craft of playing. We were all like proud soccer dads and moms rooting for our kid to finally make a goal. When emotion and commotion came out 10 years ago we felt he made the goal. Jeff Beck managed to show us long time fans not only did he hang onto his innovate playing style, he could make a hit, commercial or not, emotion and commotion showed how you can play fast and still make every note matter. Or play slow and swear he sold his soul to the devil to get the voice that resonates from his guitar. The live at Ronnie Scott's sealed it for us. Game over drop the mic. Asking who's the best over with billions of humans coming departing this world over time, that's a huge debatable task that all based on opinion. But us Jeff Beck fans that love Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Paco De Lucia, Jesse Cook, Chet Atkins, Richie Blackmore, Eddie Van Halen, Andres Segovia and more, we know, if you want songs then Keith Richards or George Harrison just might be the best guitarists ever. But if you're into music as Andre Bocelli is to voice, Jeff Beck is the best case closed.

HE DIDN'T NOTICE THAT THE LIGHTS HAD CHANGED", 4.10/20 UP DATE: I WAS RIGHT BEHIND HIM IN MY 2004 TSX 6 SPEED ACURA CAR,(LITTLE MERCEDES), THOUGH I STOPPED IN TIME(GREAT BRAKE PARTS ASSEMBLED BYMY MECHANICAL GENIUS SON), RIGHT BEHIND A SEMI TRUCK WAS SKIDDING DOWN UPON ME; WHAT TO DO? COULDN'T " BEND OVER & KISS MY A** GOODBYE"; OR JUMP SHIP; OR BACK UP??(HELL NO); SO, I GRITTED MY TEETH, " GRINNED & BARED IT"(FROM MARVEL COMICS??). SUDDENLY, AN ANGEL APPEARED, YES, "JIM MORRISON:, SINGING " THIS IS THE END" & WHALA, DAMN TRUCK SWERVED LEFT, MISSING ME, & CRASHING, SMASHING INTO " THE HOUSE OF LORDS". APPROPRIATE ENDING??????

He is the best of all electric guitarists. I’ve seen him play three times: in March 68 at my college, with Rod Stewart on vocals, Micky Waller on drums and Ron Wood on bass - the classic early Jeff Beck Group; then in March ’81 at the Hammersmith Odeon (with Simon Philips on drums - amazingly good, and Jimmy Page coming on for the encore) - one of the two best concerts I’ve been to, the other being Love in Manchester early 1970; and at the O2 in London, October 2016. Blow By Blow is my favourite amongst his albums.

Just love the little face she pull's at the end of her (actually Jeff's) solo! Amazing performance, and she was what, all of 22 at the time?
Christy Axel Norman
21 years old @ Ronnie Scott's - think she's 34 this year 2020!!!! Not seen much exposure of her playing lately - Anyone got any ideas where she's playing? Peace out 🇬🇧

@Christy Axel Norman Yeah, I dropped out in 11th grade, got my GED, and went on the road based out of Mpls. with my own sound and lighting system, and on my off days worked as a driver/gofer for the big shows that came into the arena's, so I've also worked shows for a lot of these people. Was also making better $ than my teachers at the time, so yeah, school is def not for everyone! On the other hand, so proud of my kids, daughter is a Dr. of Genetics and Genomics and son works with me now as camera asst. on broadcast sports, if they ever come back! And Tal, what an amazing young woman! She did a show up here a few years ago with her own band and I understand it was great, especially for a fairly small crowd.
Christy Axel Norman
Tal was 20 in 2007 I believe! Great presence. High school drop out from Aussie. Just shows you school is no good for humans, it's the love of what you do that really counts. Think of what could be achieved with children letting them expand their horizons in their own way! Tal is superb. Jeff holding back to give her free reign - shows what a great guy he is..... Peace out 🇬🇧

If you think this is "good", you're not mentally all there. Tal, you're great and beautiful, but if ever a song didnt need some bass pontificating, "Cause we've ended as lovers" is one of them.

This is the song that I learned to play electric guitar with. I learned it note for note, without a whammy bar..it took me 7 nights a week for 3 months...but I got it. I am SO GRATEFUL to Stevie Wonder for writing it, and Jeff Beck especially for playing it. I was 19 at the time, and now I'm 63. This is, without a doubt, Jeff's best song. When I think of how long ago I learned it, I'm shocked.

I agree a 1000% with you there, Robert. When I heard / saw that the first time, I felt so amazed that i really felt tears coming down. This song on its own is already great, but see and hear such a talent there. That smile afterwards, that innocent kinda "Did i do it ok ?" smile was such a joyful moment. Then you see what music can be to you, to people that embrace it. Forget these jerks here, commenting crap because they either dont give a damn (in return I dont understand why they even come here!) or those filled with envy, trashing other people because they cant do that on their own. I am really glad, you posted that, Robert. Although I already seen the video a while ago, I wanted to write just that what you did. ;)
