This is freakin' AWESOME. I love science. Science is what illuminates light (aka knowledge) though out the darkness (aka ignorance/the unknown). Hail science! Love how people deliberately dislike this video.

I was going to comment "how many of these discoveries will be disproved now that it's five years later," but then you STARTED by covering that! Well played.

I love watching astronomical phenomena more than anything...i saw a meteor 01/2020 which was unforgettable....i want to see solar/lunar eclipses, northern lights, comets...etc...

Kepler’s idea was to inscribe a sphere, inside of an octahedron, circumscribed a sphere around that, then placed the whole thing inside an icosahedron, threw in an other sphere, wrapped the entire thing in a dodecahedron, threw in an other sphere, place the thing in a tetrahedron, then threw in an other sphere, and placed the whole thing in a cube, threw in an other sphere and yet, you’d have six spheres.

Geology alert : Becarfull we now know the earth is not mostly molten. The outter core is the only molten part of the earth. The rest of it is solid, the mantle should be represented in green (it evokes peridotite) and not in red (which evokes lavae). Great video :)

This may be weird, but I *love* the brief opening animation and theme song for this series. It communicates the wonder and joy of astronomy so succinctly.

You can't start a video saying that it's essential to understand that what we think we know about the universe might be wrong, then write off Astrology as a non-science without doing proper testing yourself. Implement scientific observation to the knowledge on this subject, actively apply it in your life for a prolonged period of time, then extract an actual conclusion from the experience independent from anything you might have read or think you understand about it. I guarantee you'll find consistencies between it and literally every other form of knowledge in the world. The fault in your statement lies in your approach, not in Astrology.

Many thanks, I been tryin to find out about "is there a lot of math in astronomy?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Qanailey Riyhloe Domination - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my brother in law got amazing results with it.

I’m a 5th grader, what is geology, hydrology, and petrology?
Tuts
Tuts 2 months ago
Hi young man! So, basicaly geology is the study of stones, the Earth and the minerals that are in it. Hydrology is the study of water! It comes from the greek "Hydro" that means water. And petrology , is a part of geology, but focused on the evolution of stones and how they are made!

The age of the moon is 6.2 billion years old and is also hollow. The moon’s origin was originally in a constellation of Ursa Minor, that’s in the Little Dipper. It came from the solar system called Chowta. This solar system has 21 planets in it of which our moon came from the 17th planet and was one of four moons that were circling that particular planet../The moon was purposely put into the tail of a planetary asteroid, which brought it across our galaxy to Earth. This was over 11,000 years ago. It did not calm from the Earth as many surmise, because the Moon is in fact older than our planet.

I love this series. I think its excellent. I just wish you had dedicated at least one video to astronomy. You know, taking a telescope out into a dark night and teaching us what to look for and how to find it. This is more about astrophysics and cosmology than it is about astronomy.

It could have been a great video. Denigrating people, even ancient people, ( 5:30 ), as just one example, is needless, and crass. He goes on to bash astrology, and other things. Why? It's not what you say, but the narcissism and vitriolic delivery that ruined what could have been a perfect video about astronomy.
