Gordan, I'm dhaarini. There are dishes in Tamilnadu downsouth where we don't use too much spice yet bring out delicious dishes. You can see tribal cooking in parts of ooty, sathyamangalam hills.. Try meeting people there too.

It is not exactly India, this is the very North East and you can even see the facial characteristics of the villagers are a half-way between South Asia and East Asia.

I think I can understand why Gordon is so harsh in Kitchen Nightmares/Hotel Hell/Hell’s Kitchen. He’s been around the world and tasted foods made in places where food ingredients are relatively scarce/difficult to come by, yet they create amazing dishes and in many western establishments where ingredients/food knowledge is EXTREMELY accessible, the food in those places are subpar and embarrassing.

*Gordon's comments:* Remote Tribes- pork is delicious, very tender, seasoned perfectly, feels right at home, they have nothing yet they've developed these ingenious techniques on how to cook, quite touching, amazing stuff Professional Chef- It's fucking raw, YOU'LL KILL SOMEBODY, You have the balls to serve risotto from last week!? It's rotten!! How dare you cook me a lunch knowing full well how dirty your kitchen is.

Damn that looks fucking good. I wanna hang out with these peeps, drinking and singing and getting down on some bomb ass curry. That's a good life. At the end of the day I eat microwaved pizza that tastes like cardboard, standing over the kitchen sink, by myself. It's not a good life.

Man. It's crazy to see Gordon experiencing cuisine from places that most of the western world wouldn't even know existed. I'm curious if he has any plans to visit some of the -stans. Kazakhs, Kyrgyzs. Uzbeks... absolutely oblivious to anything that could even tangentially be considered a meal from that area.

Gordon is extremely passionate about cooking. Yeah it gets a little exaggerated on the shows, but the anger towards other chefs comes from self proclaimed professionals disrespecting his passion. He takes cooking very seriously, and can't stand when others don't.
