This blocked ear wax removal extraction procedure is performed by UK pioneer and world-leading endoscopic ear wax removal specialist Mr Neel Raithatha (Consultant Audiologist) aka 'The Wax Whisperer’ at his clinic in Oadby, Leicester, UK.
Ear wax removal is necessary when ear wax build up becomes impacted. Symptoms causes by earwax blockage include: earache (otalgia), conductive hearing loss, blocked ear, vertigo, tinnitus, itchiness and irritation, occlusion etc.
The client attended with fully occluding ear wax in the right ear, The auditory canal entrance was slightly narrow and twisted and the earwax itself was somewhat firm and sticky. The client had been instilling olive oil ear wax drops for a few days prior to attending his appointment.
I successfully removed the ear wax that was fully occluding the ear canal in three large pieces. There was some residual dead thickened keratin on the anterior canal wall which I decided to leave as this would have produced a high-frequency 'squeal' if attempting to remove, known as 'clarenetting'. This thickened dead keratin will naturally migrate out of the ear canal on it's own accord and would not cause the client any symptoms.

How long does it take to get that much wax build up in your ears? I clean mine every time I take a shower. I run some warm warm in my ears and the wax comes out. Then I just tilt my head to the side to get the water out.

Doesn't the squeaking & squelching(clarineting) of the vacuum tube hurt the patients' ears? It does mine & I only use earplugs lol
