What if God ran the Earth like a convoluted, bureaucratic corporation? It would probably look a lot like TBS series 'Miracle Workers.' The comedy series follows God (played by Steve Buscemi) and his many angels (Daniel Radcliffe, Karan Soni and Geraldine Viswanathan) as they attempt to answer bigger prayers and -- basically -- save the world.
'Miracle Workers' is the latest addition to the current trend of afterlife-centric media including the popular series 'The Good Place' and 'God Friended Me.' So why the sudden interest in all things eternal?
'There's an existential sense of doom that has permeated the culture,' series creator Simon Rich explained. 'And I think there's a hunger for shows that to try and explain the chaos of our day to day reality.'
